Warm smiles from Andros

14 May on en   Kalimera!

After a time-consuming and exhausting, but nevertheless exciting period of summer preparations, the Mare e Vista Epaminondas has been restored to its familiar state of tranquility and warmth. It seems like the winter never touched it.

The only thing that did not require any preparation were the SMILES which seem to come so naturally to the warm welcome we have prepared for our guests.
It was Easter Wednesday morning and everything was finally in place. Our senses were tickled by the scents of our first breakfast, which is more rich, more beautiful and more Greek than ever. Sweet and salty surprises are set in place on a daily basis to satisfy even the most demanding “taste buds”.

I feel like Andros will be a pleasant surprise for everyone this year, as the people who care about the island will be here to offer a great vacation and unforgettable memories to our visitors.

Ariana has planned the new schedule of Trekking Andros for those of you who want to discover the “hidden” beauties of this green island through beautiful treks. If you still wish to explore the island on your own, we can recommend a very good website for treks and hikes.

For the thrill seekers, there is also the option of the WESURFIN’ water sports center formed by three windsurfing champions George Fragos, Nikos Skordos and Akis Chrisochoou. When the “meltemi” blows strong, this is really an ideal place to practice windsurfing in flat water. For the calmer days you can get your exercise with an SUP, as you paddle along the beautiful coastline. In order to show our support to this beautiful effort, we have decided to include lessons and equipment rental offers for our clients, which you can see on our website.

Moving on to more relaxing and cultural activities, Elia and Laoura in “Themelos” traditional coffee and art house in Batsi, already have a list of scheduled activities that include art exhibitions and live music nights. “Themelos” is also famous for its gourmet “mezedes”, perfect companions to a glass of tsipouro or ouzo.

Finally, we expect as always great things from the Museum of Contemporary Art that will open its doors on the 29th of June, with the exhibition of a prominent Greek sculptress, Sophia Vari. We are also looking forward to the new theme of the exhibition that will be presented by the “Kydonieos” museum as part of “PLOES” art activities.

Adding on beautiful beaches, the majestic shipwreck in Vori, stunning waterfalls, plentiful fresh water springs, picturesque monasteries, the village festivals with their delicacies, and the easy access from the port of Rafina in just two hours, Andros can become this summer’s surprise and a big challenge for every visitor!
