It is time to visit the south beaches of Andros island, starting your excursion from the Mare e Vista Epaminondas hotel in Batsi, after enjoying a full breakfast from our hotel’s rich breakfast buffet. Following the road to Chora, you can first visit the bay of Paleopolis, the picturesque and mostly rocky beach of Agia Eleoussa.

On your way to Chora, at the area of Stavropeda turn right and follow the roads downhill to Apothikes (left) and Halkolimiona beach (right). They are both ideal for swimming and fishing with calm and clear waters.

Following the direction to Korthi (Ormos), you can enjoy the crystal clear waters of Plaka beach, an isolated beautiful small beach. The road continues to the village of Korthi with its fishing port and its two beaches Vidzi and Kandouni. In the bay, the winds are usually strong and stable and the sea is wavy enough, making the place ideal for windsurfing.

Continuing your way north, you can visit the beautiful beach of pidima Grias. It’s one of the most beautiful beaches of Andros island with crystal clear cyan-blue water and a unique decorating rock in the sea. There is no car access to the beach, you can only follow the path and the staircases downhill.

On your way north, the next beach to find, before arriving to Chora, is the picturesque small beach of Syneti. The easiest and fastest way to return to the hotel in Batsi is through Messaria, Stavropeda and Paleopolis.
